Intravenous Medication

Home intravenous medication lets patients receive physician-prescribed treatment without hospitalization or having to travel. A specialized nurse visits your home and administers the medication, such as antibiotics or other intravenous preparations, using aseptic technique and following the medical orders strictly.

Who It’s For

Suitable for patients who need intravenous therapy at home, such as those continuing treatment after a hospital stay, bedbound or elderly people with limited mobility, and anyone receiving a scheduled course of antibiotics or other intravenous therapy ordered by a physician.

What It Includes

  • Preparation & identification: Confirming the prescribed medication and the physician’s administration instructions before every dose.
  • Administration: Intravenous administration with sterile single-use materials and aseptic technique, following the regimen set by the physician.
  • Monitoring: Observing the patient during and after administration for any reactions, in coordination with the treating physician.

Safety & Procedure

Administration is performed by a certified nurse, solely on the basis of the medical prescription and the treating physician’s instructions. All hygiene and aseptic technique standards are followed, while the nurse watches for signs of adverse reactions and promptly informs your physician whenever necessary.
