Frequently Asked Questions

What nursing services do you provide at home?
Our specialized nurses perform intramuscular and intravenous injections, IV fluids and medication administration, blood draws, blood-sugar measurement, vital signs and electrocardiograms, wound and pressure-ulcer care, catheterization, secretion suctioning, and oxygen therapy in your home.
Do I need a medical referral or prescription?
Many nursing procedures (e.g. injections, IV fluids, medication administration) are carried out based on your treating physician's instructions and prescription. Contact us and we'll guide you on the necessary documentation. We always coordinate with your doctor.
What should I have ready for the nurse's visit?
It helps to have your doctor's prescription or instructions available, the medications or supplies you've been advised to obtain, and your medical history and any recent test results. The nurse brings the necessary nursing equipment and applies strict aseptic technique.
Which areas do you cover for home nursing?
We cover Ioannina and the wider Epirus region. Our nurses travel to the patient's home. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, contact us to confirm.
What hours are you available?
We're available 7 days a week, from 08:00 to 20:00, including holidays. We schedule the nurse's visit at a time that suits you.
Is home nursing covered by insurance funds or EOPYY?
Depending on the type of nursing procedure and your insurance fund, coverage or partial reimbursement may be available. Contact us and we'll give you general guidance on coverage options and the required documentation.
How quickly can a nurse come to the home?
For scheduled procedures we usually respond within a few hours to a few days, depending on availability and the nature of the need. For urgent nursing needs, call us directly for prompt service within our operating hours.
Are nursing procedures at home safe?
Yes. All procedures are performed by specialized, registered nurses with strict aseptic technique and full adherence to hygiene and safety standards. We do not diagnose or change treatment - we always work with your treating physician.
How do I book a nurse visit?
Call us or fill in the form on the website describing your nursing need. We'll get in touch, assess the situation in coordination with your doctor, and schedule the visit.
Can I request recurring visits?
Yes. For needs such as daily injections, regular wound changes, or vital-signs monitoring, we schedule recurring visits according to your doctor's instructions.
